Mr. Irvin's Last Hurrah!

Thanks to Bill Pickerill for sending this along, and thank to James Spragens for taking the picture.

Irvin Wheatley erected this sign on his house to send a message to those he felt had violated his rights as a property owner!

My thoughts,
Basically, the city determined his property was a nuisance because of overgrowth of grass/shrubbery/whatever. I guess they sent him notices that were ignored, because Irvin strongly believed he had a right to do whatever he wished with his own property and it was no one else's business if he liked the old fashioned way of landscaping.

The city came in one day, and there is a large consensus of people who think they went over-board and "scalped" his property.

Ever since, Irvin was planning on how best to send a message to the community, and this sign is the result of his deliberations!
