DAY 235: AD PLACEMENT  FAIL

It seemed like THE perfect time to advertise on the front page of The Lebanon Enterprise.

This was the week the local paper was doubling down on production and giving complementary issues to EVERY household in Marion County, whether they had a subscription or not!

OH YEAH!

Plus, that new "sticky note" advertising idea seemed ripe for the picking.

But...

Something went very wrong with Jerry's Lebanon Enterprise ad campaign. : (

Yes, Jerry woke up on Wednesday morning to find his face plastered (but pealable!) on the front of every local paper under the headline, "NUISANCE".

__

Let this just be a little lesson to ya/a.k.a. moral of the story/ a.k.a. Confuscious say:

... before you pay for that great sticky-note ad, try to get just a little advance notice of what's going to be on the front page that day.

DAY 234: STOP LIGHTS on the BYPASS

We are apparently getting stop lights on the bypass! The Loretto Road intersection has been of concern since the bypass was built.

I've travelled that road every day for over a week now, and as I approach that intersection I wonder if the lights will be in operation; but each day the lights remain suspended by what appear to be large rubber bands.

A whole week+ with rubber-banded stop lights?

I'm okay with that.  It is better than what we had! Count your blessings.

DAY 233: HANK

I wonder what people who arrive at the "crossroads" in St. Francis, Kentucky think when they look over and see this building?

It is impressively painted with scenes from days gone by, including a special Hank Williams rendition on the front facade.

This building has changed hands many times since it was the old Earl Miles Grocery. I remember when Babo Robey had a store there. After that, the establishment changed hands so often that I couldn't keep up.

Some say that it changes hands a lot because so much money is made there that the proprietors quickly  move on to bigger things. It's for sale now.

I don't know about all that, but I do like the murals on that building! Go, Hank!

DAY 232: RAYWICK SHOE  REPAIR

I don't know who owns this business, but I like everything about it from the outside. (Don't miss the foot molds resting against the side of the building!)
