DAY 101: OLD JUNIOR MISS

Wow. This is me on some special anniversary of our Junior Miss program. I was Junior Miss in 1978. It really is so wild to me that I am now among the very first Junior Misses in Marion County. This is one of the last pics of me taken for Marion County Junior Miss when I was kind of thin....What happened?! lol

I'm proud to be a Marion County Junior Miss! For all of you who come after me...I am watching you!!!

All I can say, Donna, is "WOW!" Women don't get any prettier than this.

I remember this. I was finishing almost a year of training at an Air Force Base in Denver on my way to a two year stint with NATO in Europe. Mom had the Enterprise pic on the fridge. I remember thinking "sure can't argue with their choice". I really enjoy your Photo A Day project. Keep it up!

I still have the two silver "pizza" plates (as they were called by my Daddy) I won at the 1970 Marion County Junior Miss. I won the talent and the congeniality awards. Alice Peterson won Junior Miss. I still have fond memories of that time and really enjoyed being in the pageant.
