I Want My Guns Back

Only a few will understand why I named this picture "Guns Back". It is a very interesting story that involves guns and private parts that I wish I could tell.

This fellow was a very kind gentleman. He never had any children. But he has one of the most interesting faces ever. Especially his nose. I don't think I've ever seen a nose like his before.

We met up one day in Mary's Place out on Danville Highway in Lebanon where I snapped this picture of him among the collectibles and antiques.

Mary Margaret Goes to the Rest Home

This is one of many pictures I took the day Mary Margaret Fenwick sold her house and all her belongings and moved into a rest home. This one is right after the house sold, and just before she signed the documents that transferred  ownership of her home to the buyers. She spent her last moments as owner of the West Main home alone, gazing out her front door.

I wonder what she was thinking? I absolutely adore her hat and her bright blue coat. She's clutching her big black purse to her and has her walking assistant near at hand. I wonder what she had in her purse. That day she witnessed the sale of her home and the contents...things she had probably collected over a lifetime.

I wonder how she felt?

Did it hurt her? Or was it a relief for her to be unburdened of these worldly possessions collected over her lifetime? Probably a bit of both...

I need to go see her and show her this picture. I really want to know what was going through her mind at this moment.

Gone To A Better Place?

Lebanon hairstylists David & Mary Beth Drye took a much deserved vacation this fall. Besides having a very busy year, it was just a couple of weeks after the death of the popular and beloved John Greenwell (a/k/a "Snarepole"). It was good to get away.

A favorite stop during their New Orleans vacation was a Karaoke club called "Cat's Meow".

As you can see, the crowd was going hog WILD over one of the karaoke entertainers!
