Day 160 in this crazy journey...
That translates to June 10, 2010. TODAY.
Life intervened on my photo-a-day project, and I've missed almost a whole month of posting!
At first, when I was only a couple of weeks behind and was in the midst of that life intervening thing, I thought I would just shuck the whole project. It's one of those things that really seemed like a great idea at the time.
But now I have decided to continue on, and fill in the blanks later.
Sometimes you just have to roll with it.

With that said, here's a guy who knows how to roll with it: Andrew January Grundy, III.
Andy is an intelligent guy. He was editor of the local high school's newspaper, then went on to continue in the field of journalism after his graduation, and he even almost single-handedly revived a defunct Lebanon KY newspaper for almost a year. But a strange thing happened on the way to the printer when he lived "away from here".
Seriously!
He was working for a distant newspaper when something he cannot even explain to this very day came over him and prompted him to change the entire front page layout of the paper just as it was on the way to the printer! (Is that exciting or what?) I remember him mentioning that he arranged the text in a cross configuration. He also substituted some articles for others. I have never seen the result of his spontaneous handiwork that night, but sure would love to.
The management did not appreciate his freelance hijack of their newspaper, and Andy was promptly fired. Not only was he fired, but he was institutionalized for a time. And the rest is history.
Andy is now a spokesperson of sorts for the mentally disabled. He goes to conferences for that, and I believe he was once president of an advocacy group for the cause.
He has authored a book called "Kentucky Fried Fiction" which is about to go into its second printing.
He occasionally writes freelance articles that turn up in newspapers near and far.
He loves finding a good bargain at a yard sale.
He has been taken in by internet thieves who lure him in with pictures of pretty girls who say they're in love with him and can't wait to meet him.
He suffers from COPD and is in a constant battle with himself to stop smoking.
He once made a video back when almost nobody made videos. It had high rental value at our local movie rental place. It began with Andy combing his hair with music from The Beatles playing in the background, after which Andy pontificated on a variety of topics.
He loves his family, and lives in a trailer at his parents' back door. He is a bit famous among family and friends for his Christmas Newsletter. The picture here is one I took of him that he used for the most recent newsletter. Once you are on Andy's Christmas Newsletter mailing list, you never want off of it. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without that update from Andy.
