DAY 64: MOTHER'S  FAVORITE

Of all the pictures taken of my daughter at her wedding, this is my favorite. And I took it myself.

We were minutes away from the wedding ceremony. Elizabeth was biding time with her bridesmaids and flower girls in a room next to the church.

When I first got to the "waiting room", everything was very animated and LOUD! Lots of laughter and fun and conversation. Someone had even brought in a fan to put under Elizabeth's dress to make sure the bride remained cool!

When the ceremony was only minutes away, though, everything became so serious. Everyone became quiet, and a hush stole over the whole room in anticipation of what was to come.

I love this "look" on Elizabeth's face that day. This is a look I have seen from my daughter only a few times through her life. It's a look she has when she is emotional and it's important. I have always marveled at the beauty of this look of hers.

This picture, above all the others, captured my heart on her wedding day.
